Recently bought an above ground 3m pool, so wanted to be able to judge water temp without resorting to the meat thermometer!
This ties to the side of the pool and reads in 2 degree increments. 24 is a bit chilly, 26 is OK. 28 is nice. 30 is lovely….

Reads zero when numerous other thermometers show the actual temperature is circa 4-5 degrees. Based on our experience, this is not a product you should buy. Note also that it is not returnable

Baffled by the good reviews! It’s really hard to read, in or out of the water, and the individual markings between the ten degree points are of the same colour as the stem so making it doubly difficult to read properly.
Seems reasonably accurate within a degree or two which is good enough for a pool but much preferred my old pool thermometer!
Poor design so doesn’t do what it says on the tin…..

This seemed like a great thermometer for the purpose initially. Unfortunately the glass part of the thermometer is only attached to the plastic casing by two blobs of glue. One of these blobs has dislodged and the glass no longer lines up with the scale rendering the thermometer pretty useless. Not great for the price paid.

When the thermometer arrived it worked well for about six days. Then it showed a temperature 6 degrees lower – same temperature! There was no damage that I could see and I do not know why it suddenly showed a lower temperature. Very disappointing!!!

Purchased this item to keep a check on the temperature of my hot tub. The unit needs to be turned to just a small degree to see the red level indicator. Too little or too much and it’s difficult to read. This item (unlike most others) does not float, therefore it sinks to the bottom. Gave it a few tries but wasn’t for me, so decided to return. The seller will not accept any return – just saying…

I am not convinced of its accuracy as it says the water temperature is lower since I have been solar heating the pool! I do not find it easy to read. Sadly disappoinhted.

Arrived in package temperature reading 20 deg. C, placed in pool, 10 hours later still 20 deg. Reading. Has not moved!
